I am honestly a little surprised at how good this one turned out. I splurged a little yesterday (HA story of my freaking life) and got this shirt, not usually a style that I go for, but I liked that floral pattern, it has a bit of a vintage vibe. I'm going downtown with my squoosh tonight, and so the leather jacket seemed fitting. And the leather boots. Basically, I rock today.

Springtime

So it feels so good outside. And I wanted to match all the pretty flowers.

...just kidding that wasn't my thought process. I was actually going to try and wear a red pencil skirt to church today, and then I decided I wasn't in the mood to be that patient, pulling it down and adjusting it and sitting in it and how to cross my legs in my heels...so I went with my go to gray skirt, so reliable to be adorable ALL the time.
And then I decided that I wanted to curl my hair, since I had enough time. And so I did. But since that doesn't really happen a lot, I wanted to match it with something equally adorable and classy like as my curly hair. I stood in my closet for about 3 minutes. Which is a long time to stand in your closet. And then I was like HELLO PINK BLAZER MY GOODNESS!

Institute Presidency Meeting

Again, I could have shown up to this meeting in sweats. We are pretty laid back. But like I have said before of these Institute meetings, you should always leave the house prepared to meet a tall dark and handsome stranger. Even if you're already dating one. Just so that you can be foxy, like, ALL the time. Plus it was cold, plus I got to wear my favorite boots again PLUS my favorite winter scarf :) why not??

The Key to Being Consistently Fabulous

haha sorry, that's probably a bit big headed of me to phrase. No but really, here's what I do. Every night, before I go to bed, I lay out my clothes for the next day. Just like a third grader with an over involved mother. But it really does help! Because then I'm not picking me outfit first thing in the morning when the only things on my mind are my bizarre dreams about orangutangs driving Jeeps and how badly I want to brush my teeth.
Sorry. TMI.
Also, I carry a small notebook with me everywhere I go, where I write down outfit ideas. Perhaps that's extremely obsessive. Oh well. What I've noticed is that I think of an awesome ensemble, and then I try and remember it when I get home and am standing in my closet, and then I come up with nothing and I cannot remember for the life of me what I thought to wear with that ugly shirt to make it marvelous. So I just write it all down.

Anyways, I'm featuring my new turquoise skinnies again, because they're absolutely adorable. And that cardigan, as adorable as it is, is so hard to wear and actually look your age and not like a 12 year old. I like to think I did it right. And I'm rocking that natural wave again. It's so easy to pull off when I'm in an Indie mood, but when I want to look trendy and such, it's a bit more difficult. But I feel like this outfit was a success.

Red Hot

Once upon a time I was a sophemore in high school. And colored skinny jeans were SO IN, and I had them in orange and red and purple and royal blue and white. And then they faded out of style. And I got rid of them, becuase my mom told me that they wouldn't come back.
Moral of the story? Don't listen to your mom.
